About us

A big Hello and Welcome to our Farm! We are Philip + Linda with our 3 boys - Levi William and Ashton. This is our happy place... yes some days are crazy, some days are hard with lots of work but all in all we feel so very blessed to be able to steward this land and raise our boys here.
Our Story: Philip moved to this farm with his parents and 6 siblings when he was 6 years old. He has many memories of pulling the wagon of calf bottles up the hill to feed calves, and milking in the old tie-stall barn. In 2011, I married the farmer of my dreams [Philip], and we've farmed happily ever after:) When our oldest son was born, he happily joined the farming crew and liked to ride along chasing cows + feeding baby calves. In December of 2017, Philip's parents decided to retire and asked if we would like to take over the farm. Within a month we traded places and the Farmhouse became our home. Since then two more little boys have joined our crew.
The Cows: Philip's Dad transitioned the farm to organic in 2003 and started shipping all the delicious fresh milk to Organic Valley. We stopped feeding any grain in 2012, got our Grass-fed OPT certification and joined the Organic Valley Grass-milk truck in 2015. We have never looked back. Somewhere in there Philip attended a soil health class and we began building up the pasture soils... Today our lowest quality hay is higher quality than our highest quality hay used to be. Farming is fun when feed quality is good and the cow health shows it. In fall of 2024 we went to Lancaster County, PA to attend a Regenerative Farming seminar. We learned a lot and came home very enthused to start more regenerative farming practices. Less tillage, less mowing, different grazing plans and more plant diversity. We are still learning but we love how far we have come! As much of the year as possible, the cows enjoy grazing on the lush green pastures. In spring and fall when there isn't enough grass, Philip supplements with feeding bale-age [fermented hay]- bale grazing. And in Winter when the weather isn't suitable for them to be outside, they enjoy our compost bedding pack housing barn. Thanks to the aerobic bacteria we have said good-bye to foot rot and very little pneumonia. No grain, No soy, No vaccines.
Just happy healthy cows. And happy healthy cows make happy milk that makes a happy Farmer!
Thank-you for supporting our family farm!
