Welcome to the amazing world of Kefir! We are passionate about making kefir+ we're excited to share it with you:) Kefir is a powerhouse of probiotics. A healthy gut is a happy one! And. It's easy to make! Our grains are grown in fresh raw [certified] organic + grass-fed milk.
What you will receive with your order: kefir grains + a simple instruction sheet to help you get started. It will also include a packet of prebiotic fiber to help the grains recover from shipping, our favorite smoothie recipe + how to store the grains if you want a vacation :) Please holler if you have questions!
Choose how much kefir you want to make in 24 hours. (Once grains have recovered from shipping) 1 TBSP is enough for making 6-8oz of kefir. 2 TBSP is enough for making 10-12 oz of kefir. Our grains are large + healthy. When the kefir is 'done' just dip out the kefir grains into a clean jar and start your next batch by adding more fresh milk. No splatters or mess of having to use a strainer!:)
Shipping!! I only ship orders on MONDAYS or TUESDAYS. That way the grains will never sit in a hot or cold warehouse over the weekend. Please have your order in by Saturday or Sunday if you want your grains the following week. ***During warmer weather, please note we do not refund for grains getting over heated. Please watch your outdoor temperature and make sure your grains do not sit in a hot mailbox. I do have a cold pack option for you to add - it includes an extra insulated bag with a cold pack. Please consider purchasing if temperatures are above 80*. Still be mindful of the hot mailbox. Thank-you! .
A little story to how we got on kefir:
Quite a few years ago when my husband was young, his parents started making kefir. One day a brainwave hit... why not feed kefir to our baby calves?!! It was a game changer!! The baby calves thrived. Healthy robust calves with sleek shiny coats. Now we make kefir for ourselves in the house and we make kefir for ALL our farm babies in the barn! Calves, cats dogs chickens + ducks ALL love the extra kefir!
